Arya the successful orphan youth

Illustration of Arya, a successful orphan youth

In a small dusty town, amidst the hustle and bustle of a traditional market that is always busy, there lives a boy named Arya. Arya is an orphan. He lost both of his parents at a very young age due to a disease that was spreading in his hometown. Since then, Arya has lived with his grandmother, an old woman who works as a washerwoman to make ends meet.

Despite living in poverty, Arya grew up to be a smart and hardworking child. His grandmother always emphasized the importance of education as the only way to change fate. Every morning, before sunrise, Arya wakes up to help his grandmother fetch water from the well and prepare a simple breakfast. After that, with an undying spirit, he walks for kilometers to the public elementary school at the end of town.

At school, Arya is known as a smart and diligent student. He always gets the best grades in his class. Arya really likes history and citizenship lessons. He is always fascinated by the stories of the nation's heroes and the noble ideals of the nation's founders. In his mind, there was a strong desire to contribute to the nation and state, even though he was only an orphan from a poor family.

However, Arya's life did not always run smoothly. His grandmother's worsening economic condition meant that Arya often had to endure hunger and wear a shabby school uniform. His friends at school, who came from well-off families, often mocked and belittled him because of his poverty. Arya often felt inferior and ashamed, but he never let the taunts dampen his enthusiasm for learning.

One day, when Arya was sitting pensive on a bench in the school park, a teacher named Mr. Budi approached him. Mr. Budi was a history teacher who was highly respected and admired by Arya. Mr. Budi saw the sadness in Arya's eyes and asked gently, "Arya, why do you look gloomy today?"

Arya told Mr. Budi all his complaints. He expressed his feelings of inferiority and the economic difficulties he faced. Mr. Budi listened attentively, then smiled and patted Arya on the shoulder.

"Arya, poverty is not a disgrace. Poverty is also not a barrier to achieving your dreams. In fact, poverty should be a whip for you to try harder and work harder. Remember, many great figures of this nation also came from simple families, even orphans. But they were able to prove that limitations are not the end of everything," said Mr. Budi in a wise tone.

Mr. Budi then told the life stories of several national heroes who came from poor families, but managed to make great contributions to the nation and state. These stories were very inspiring for Arya. He felt that he had gained new strength and his enthusiasm was rekindled.

"Arya, you are a smart and talented child. Don't let poverty dim your potential. Keep studying hard, pursue your dreams as high as the sky. I am sure that one day you will become a successful person and useful for this nation," said Mr. Budi.

Since then, Arya has become more motivated to study. He spends his time reading textbooks and history books in the school library. He is also active in extracurricular activities, such as study groups and debate clubs. Arya had a clearer ideal: he wanted to become a civil servant, a civil servant who could serve the community and build the nation.

After graduating from elementary school with satisfactory grades, Arya managed to enter his favorite public junior high school in his city. However, the challenges he faced were getting harder. Junior high school fees were much more expensive than elementary school. His grandmother was having more and more difficulty meeting Arya's daily needs and school fees.

Arya did not want to be a burden to his grandmother. He decided to work part-time after school. He worked as a waiter at a small food stall near his house. Every day, after finishing his schoolwork and homework, Arya immediately rushed to the food stall to help serve customers. Although tired, Arya remained enthusiastic and never complained.

In junior high school, Arya maintained his achievements. He always got good grades and was active in school activities. He also began to develop his interest in the fields of social sciences and politics. He often read news and articles about social and political issues that occurred in Indonesia and the world. He became increasingly interested in the world of government and public service.

After graduating from junior high school, Arya successfully entered a top state high school in his province. This high school was located in the provincial capital, far from the small town where Arya and his grandmother lived. Arya had to live in a school dormitory and was separated from his grandmother.

Although it was hard to leave his grandmother, Arya remained enthusiastic about studying at a top high school. He realized that this school was a golden opportunity to achieve his dream of becoming a civil servant. In high school, Arya met friends who had the same interests and dreams. He also met very competent and inspiring teachers.

During his time in high school, Arya became increasingly focused on lessons and activities that supported his dreams. He chose to major in social sciences and actively participated in student organizations and leadership activities. He also often attended seminars and discussions about government and public service. Arya became increasingly determined in his dream of becoming a professional and integrated civil servant.

After graduating from high school with the best graduate predicate, Arya dared to register at a well-known state university in Indonesia, namely Gadjah Mada University (UGM) in Yogyakarta. He chose the Government Science major, the major that was most relevant to his dreams. However, the tuition fees at UGM were very expensive. Arya and his grandmother did not have enough money to pay for his studies.

Arya did not give up easily. He looked for information about education scholarships. He found information about the Bidikmisi scholarship program, a scholarship from the government for outstanding students from underprivileged families. Arya immediately registered for the Bidikmisi scholarship and prepared himself to take the UGM entrance selection.

With hard work and prayer, Arya successfully passed the UGM entrance selection and received the Bidikmisi scholarship. He was very happy and grateful. His dream of studying at UGM finally came true. His grandmother was also very proud and touched to see Arya's success.

At UGM, Arya continued to develop. He was active in academic activities and student organizations. He joined the nature lovers student organization (Mapala) and often did social activities in the community. Arya also often participated in national debate and essay competitions, and won several awards.

During college, Arya increasingly understood the government system, public policy, and community service. He became more convinced that becoming a civil servant was the right path for him. He wanted to devote himself to building the nation and state, realizing the ideals of the heroes and founders of the country.

After graduating with cum laude, Arya immediately registered for the selection of civil servant candidates (CPNS). He chose a position at the Ministry of Home Affairs, a government agency that best suited his interests and educational background. The CPNS selection was very strict and competitive. Thousands of applicants from all over Indonesia competed for limited positions.

Arya prepared himself earnestly to face the CPNS selection. He studied the test materials diligently, took test simulations, and maintained his physical and mental health. He also asked for prayers and blessings from his grandmother and Mr. Budi.

On the day the CPNS selection results were announced, Arya felt very tense and nervous. He opened the official website of the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) with a pounding heart. After looking for his name on the list of participants who passed the CPNS selection, Arya was surprised and touched. His name was listed on the list of participants who passed the CPNS selection. Arya had succeeded in achieving his dream of becoming a civil servant.

Arya immediately told his grandmother and Mr. Budi this good news. His grandmother cried with emotion and hugged Arya tightly. Mr. Budi smiled proudly and congratulated Arya. They were both very happy and grateful for Arya's success.

After taking the basic CPNS training, Arya was officially appointed as a civil servant at the Ministry of Home Affairs. He was placed in the Directorate General of Village Government Development, a work unit tasked with fostering and developing village governments throughout Indonesia. Arya felt very happy and excited about his new job. He felt that this job was a calling and an opportunity to devote himself to the community and the country.

As a civil servant, Arya works with full dedication and responsibility. He always tries to provide the best service to the community, especially the village community. He often goes directly to the field to see the condition of the village and listen to the aspirations of the community. Arya is also active in initiating innovative and sustainable village development programs.

In his career as a civil servant, Arya faced various challenges and obstacles. He often faced complicated bureaucracy, limited budgets, and political interests.
